3 Employees Stabbed at the CVS in Inverness, FL on 8/25
Did you hear about this? A guy from Virginia walked into CVS in Inverness yesterday to get his prescription filled. The pharmacist could not fill the prescription for him because he was from out of state.
The guy was irate, but he decided to leave.
He came back a little while later with a knife and jumped behind the counter. He stabbed the pharmacist multiple times in the hand, and then two other CVS employees intervened – and he stabbed them both as well before being subdued.
Why Are We Letting This Stuff Happen in Inverness?
Things in Inverness are getting ridiculous. Here’s what’s happened in the last 30 days:
- Circle K on 41 robbed at knife point
- Smoke shop on 41 robbed at gunpoint
- Now this stabbing at CVS
Well What’s the Solution to this Crime?
The solution to this type of crime is simple:
- Take our concealed carry permit class
- Use our new shooting range in Inverness as often as you can to become proficient with your firearm
- Carry daily so you can protect human life at all costs
Studies have shown time and time again – the more legal firearms per capita, the less the crime rate is. Period.
This is all well and good, but would the pharmacists have been able to defend themselves if they had a gun?
ABSOLUTELY. Florida law, chapter 790.145 explicitly allows anyone with a concealed carry license to carry at the pharmacy. Further, even if CVS has a strict “no-gun” policy, it doesn’t matter. The employees are legally allowed to carry, but they may face termination for any reason.
If they had a CONCEALED firearm, no one would know. 🙂
